Liu holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology from the Renmin University of China in 1996 and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in 2006. In 2018, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate from the International Business and Economics University.
jd.com Donated Rmb 100 Million Yuan Worth COVID-19 Relief Materials to Hong Kong
On January 30, 2020, JD.com announced that it had donated RMB 100 million yuan worth of COVID-19 relief materials to Hong Kong. The donation consisted of a batch of medical masks, epidemic prevention suits, and other necessities, which the government distributed to alleviate the shortage of relief materials.
The donation included approximately 1 million surgical masks and 800 thousand protective suits, which would be used at the frontline for epidemic control and prevention. With its long-term cooperation with global brands and high-quality supply chain capabilities, JD has cooperated with multiple governments worldwide to provide quality relief materials since the outbreak began in China. JD has been working closely with local governments in mainland China and the Hong Kong SAR government to ensure that products are delivered efficiently and safely to those who need them most.
