A very special banner…

This banner, a reproduction of the battle standard of the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon or simply the Knights Templar was commisioned by one Carmen A Damiani Jr. SFC FORSCOM, a veteran of the war in Iraq slated to return for a another tour.
In Carmen’s last tour he was the victim of an attack on the IAV Stryker he was manning.

Fortunetly he survived the ordeal and is staged to return again. Inspired by his harrowing experience and the history behind the Knight’s Templars experience in this region of the world 880 years earlier, Carmen wanted to return to the conflict with a symbol that he could carry with him. A symbol of courage and of porpose. He chose the Templar’s battle standard or Beauseant and asked us to create it for him.
Needless to say we were deeply honored and felt that this symbol should be given to Carmen as a token of our great esteem and appreciation for his service. We worked in conjunction with our local VFW Ladies Auxiliary to cover the cost of the banner and sent along with it an American flag, letters of appreciation from the Ladies Auxiliary and ourselves, and the book, “The Enigma of the Knights Templar” by Marilyn Hopkins.

We hope in the future to post pictures of Carmen and his banner overseas and again wish to express our heartfelt appreciation and prayers for Carmen and his safe return.
